Welcome to the Forte Tearooms & Brasserie in Winchester

A beautiful hideaway in the centre of town, one of Winchester's best kept secret.....Offering full english breakfasts from 9.00am until 11.30am and a daily menu from 11.30am until 5.00pm. Throughout the day you can expect a tasty and wholesome treat with locally sourced freshly prepared dishes created in our kitchen. As an independant establishment we hope to offer a sincere and friendly service with a large variety of quality food, rather than pre-packaged options favoured by many of the other restaurant and pub chains. This quality-for-money policy is probably the reason we are in the Rough Guide to Europe as one of only a handful of eateries recommended in the UK.

Our suppliers include: Fruit and Vegetables from 'The Bunched Carrot', Meat and Sausages from 'Owtons Butchers', Ice cream from 'Vinmar Ices', Cider & Apple juice from 'Mr Whiteheads Cider Company, Fish from 'Cooper Seafood', Milk and Dairy from 'Clarks Dairy' and Bread and Cakes from the 'Oven Door Bakery'.

We pride ourselves on offering a fantastic range of vegetarian and gluten free options including gluten free cakes, sorbets and pasta.

 

Forte'nite' Events:

The Forte Tearooms is also available to hire for private functions, which are tailored to your needs. We are able to cater for Buffet food, Sitdown meals and have a fully licensed bar.

We also hold Open Mic nights once a month, which are starting to prove very popular with customers with a passion for music, whether playing or listening. We also hold Sri Lankan Evenings where you can sample many different types of Sri Lankan food in a relaxed atmosphere.

 

Opening Hours:

We are opening Monday - Saturday from 9.00am till 5.00pm (Breakfast served till 11.30am). We are also open every other Sunday when the Farmers Market is on from 10.00am - 4.00pm, so if you fancy in popping in for lunch after you have visited the market it would be great to see you.
